Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) training is for candidates of all experience levels; novice, experienced and refresher. On completion, candidates will be able to test appliances as electrically safe.

Legal requirements

Training incorporates:

  • PUWER 1998
  • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
  • The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • IET Code of Practice

Training is delivered by fully qualified instructors; evidence of instructor competency is available on request

Candidates per course:

Maximum of 6 delegates per day

Group bookings

If you have a group of 6 or more employees requiring training, we can run a Portable Appliance Testing course on a private basis, at a venue of your choice on a date that suits you. We can tailor the course to meet your needs and requirements.

At your premises:

  • BSG Members – £600+VAT*
  • Non-Members – £715+VAT*

At BSG Training Centre:

  • BSG Members – £745+VAT
  • Non-Members – £885+VAT
