BSG RAMS

Reduce time completing Risk Assessments & Method Statements

BSG RAMS is a software module created by the Building Safety Group (BSG) and used by over 800 UK construction companies to carry out multiple Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH Assessments (RAMS).

The software has been specifically developed for the building sector with over 120 different types of Risk and COSHH assessment templates available to use. Each template has been created by highly qualified BSG employees who have recognised ‘Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner’ status.

BSG RAMS is included with all of our membership packages when you join. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like a demonstration.

RAMS

Use BSG RAMS to create, edit, duplicate and download RAMS documents, which can be sent to your colleagues, business partners and clients, helping you to demonstrate your health and safety competence as well as meet your legal obligations.

All of our RAMS templates can be customised to match your business and trade. Templates are also pre-populated with recommended control measures for each hazard, which can be edited accordingly to suit the work being assessed. Your users can securely log in to BSG RAMS at any time to safely manage their Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH Assessments all in one place.

Task based risk assessment

You can use BSG RAMS to build task-based risk assessments by selecting and assessing all of the hazards relevant to the ‘job in hand’. This means multiple hazards can be assessed within one task or job, rather than having to evaluate each hazard separately. It will save your business considerable time when assessing larger projects.

Control measures

Each BSG RAMS template is pre-configured with its own set of unique control measures relevant to the hazard being assessed. Users simply have to apply a risk rating for each hazard appraised, using our 5 x 5 risk evaluation matrix. The matrix will automatically calculate scores accordingly based on risk severity and likelihood.

Users can then apply a residual risk rating once the control measures have been considered. After an assessment has been completed, it can be saved as a PDF before being emailed to the site location where the construction work taking place.

The benefits

  • Completing risk assessments with BSG RAMS will help to ensure your business is compliant with the Health & Safety law
Having a health and safety risk assessment system in place helps you to take control. Our software sets out how to handle key risk management activities
  • Using BSG’s software allows you to apply a logical and structured process for managing tasks to see what’s working well and where improvements can be made
Improved Health & Safety performance by your company will reduce the costs associated with accidents
  • Staff relations and morale are boosted when employees see that you are actively taking an interest in their welfare
  • Companies can demonstrate to the HSE and other regulatory bodies that they are actively controlling health and safety risk
  • All completed risk assessments can be archived in our system and quickly retrieved as required
  • BSG’s suite of pre-configured templates can be easily adapted to match specialised tasks for your business
  • Our pre-configured risk templates have been created by BSG’s highly qualified staff who have extensive experience working in the construction industry
  • You can add multiple users to your BSG software account

Unlimited access

BSG members are given unlimited access to all risk assessments and COSHH assessment templates, as well as the use of our Method Statements module. Up to 50 users at your company will be allowed to sign up for BSG RAMS. Companies will also be given access to a RAMS support line for technical assistance.
