Site, Office & Workshop Inspections

With our team of over thirty Safety Advisers located throughout England & Wales, a major part of our core service is carrying out regular health, safety and environmental inspections on our members’ sites.

A written copy of the report is left on site with the management team, and by utilising an “electronic/digital pen and report pad” linked to our Advisers mobile telephone, the data is transferred directly to both our office and our members’ head office.

Model Health & Safety Management System

BSG have developed a model Health & Safety Management System to assist members in managing their health and safety. The system is based on HSG65 and whilst it will be necessary for members to adapt the system to their own needs, this should be fairly straight forward.

Trade Packages

In order to cater for the needs of members who are trade specialists and whose main activities are fulfilling the role as sub-contractors to the Principal Contractor, we have developed a package relating to a particular trade.

Accident Investigation

Should you be unfortunate to have an accident which is reportable to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) under RIDDOR, we will carry out an investigation on your behalf and prepare a written report based on our investigation.

Annual Member Health Check

We recommend you take advantage of our “Annual Member Health Check” whereby one of our Safety Advisers will meet at a pre-arranged time at your office to run through Health & Safety matters, including a review of your Safety Policy, Health & Safety procedures, statistical data, training records and other issues.

CDM Co-ordinator

We are able to fulfil the role of CDM Co-ordinator in accordance with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007.

BSG is a corporate member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and meet all the competency criteria set out in Appendix 4 of the CDM 2007 ACoP.
